About Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can sometimes sound formal, but at its heart, it’s about a collaborative journey. My approach is to walk alongside you, offering a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together. I believe in the power of a genuine human connection, and I often describe our sessions as “just a chat” a focused, confidential conversation where you can speak freely, and I can listen deeply, helping you to find your own path forward.

As a practitioner I believe there is not just one way of doing therapy. That’s why I research and plan interventions for us to follow should they be helpful. In this I pull from other therapy modems to help find a tailored response.

About Me

Francesca Harland-Davis, BA Hons, MSc, BACPM

Psychic

My name is Cheska, and I am a therapist dedicated to creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood without judgment. I often describe our sessions as “just a chat”; a safe, focused, and confidential conversation where we can walk alongside each other on your journey to understanding and healing.

My passion lies in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. My practice is built on a foundation of respect for every person’s unique story and experience.

I also extend my support to the families, friends, and loved ones who are trying to understand and support those facing these challenges. I believe that community and connection are vital, and I offer guidance to help you navigate these complex dynamics with compassion.

Ultimately, my goal is to provide a warm, collaborative space where you feel empowered to explore your life on your terms. I look forward to the possibility of working with you.

about

I enjoy the geekier things in life.

While our sessions are not a reason for me to chat to you about elves, anime and video games, I believe its really important to the therapuetic relationship to have a therapist you can vibe with.

If you have a special interest, or some way of better understanding yourself, I am happy to identify how to fit this into our sessions.

My Journey to Being a Therapist

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line, but a winding road built on a deep-seated belief in the power of connection and understanding. For me, therapy isn’t just a profession; it’s a calling born from a desire to create the safe and accepting space that I’ve seen so many people, including myself and those I care about, need.

I was always drawn to stories, to the unique experiences that shape who we are. As I navigated my own life, I became increasingly aware of the invisible struggles faced by those living outside of traditional norms. This led me to a career where I could actively support victims of crime, domestic and sexual violence surviours, mental health suffers, addicts, homeless and refugees. I am passionate about creating a space where the full spectrum of human experience is not just tolerated, but celebrated. To me, the basic needs and explorations of others are not a political statement, but a basic human right.

My commitment to this work was further deepened by witnessing the profound impact of trauma and societal prejudice. I have seen firsthand the resilience of those who I have worked in supporting, and it has become a central part of my mission to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care. I believe that healing begins when we are met with empathy and a non-judgmental presence, and I am honoured to be that presence for my clients.

My personal and professional experiences have shaped my philosophy of care. I am not here to give you answers, but to walk alongside you, offering a genuine, person-to-person connection. Our time together is “just a chat”, a collaborative space where you are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and help you find your own path forward.

Thank you for considering me as a partner on your journey. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you.

Education wise, I have a masters degree from Keele University and undertake regular training.
